What is a Marketing Funnel

Apr 6

What is a marketing channel and why should an online marketing professional need one?

It is a marketing strategy that is used to convince potential customers to purchase products from your site. It's a selling process that allows someone to browse your website in search of information that solves their problem. You will be able to establish a relationship with every person you meet using specific tools.

This will allow you to better understand the needs of every visitor. This will help you to offer the best possible information for all users. When you earn the trust of a visitor, they will be more likely to buy your products. The visitor becomes a customer.

Many customers become loyal customers over time, and are more likely to purchase every product on your website. A marketing funnel includes all of the steps required to bring a frequent visitor to your website into a loyal customer and purchase every item that you sell.

This is the ultimate goal. This is possible with a well-designed funnel.

Your marketing efforts are grabbing the attention of people, and bringing them to your funnel. Once they complete the forms on your PERSONAL Lead Capture Page, they enter the funnel. Since they're not likely to opt into your business lead-capture page I'm using the term "personal". They want to become a leader, and not a company.

The page for lead capture is the entrance into the funnel. When they click the "Sign up Now" or "Enter Here" button, they are entered into a whole new concept in network marketing.

The most appealing part is that they are qualifying themselves to do it. It's their choice. You haven't offered anything other than that you are an instructor, leader and someone who will help them get more leads, and more money in their businesses.

This is how a typical marketing channel works.

To draw people to your products, you need to provide them with an opportunity to win a prize on the "front end". In order to get the product for free, users have to sign-up (also called opt-in) and give their email address and their name, and in turn they will be added to your email list.

You now have these people on your email and you can offer them similar promotions that may be of interest to them.

By signing up for the free offer will lead them to a page with low-price offers or"a "trip wire offer". It is here that they'll be moving to your "backend" of funnel.

They will be taken to another similar offer with less cost if they purchase the low-priced offer (also known as an upsell). If the buyer purchases the higher-priced offer, they'll be taken to the next related product with a more expensive cost. You can continue this process for a number of more.
